Church Logo Design
Have you ever thought about church logo designs? In many cases these are examples of some of the best and worst logo designs in existence. Does your church have a logo design? Does your church need a logo design?
Reflect on these questions as we highlight some of the most effective church logo designs. You’ll notice that all of these church logo designs follow the six logo design principles.
Saddleback Church Logo Design
 Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California was founded by pastor Rick Warren has grown to an average weekend attendance of over 20,000. Saddleback’s church logo design is simple with one color that includes mountains and sun rays. Their church logo design features basic shapes and little detail which allow it to be effective across many mediums.
Willow Creek Community Church Logo Design
 Willow Creek is located in South Barrington, Illinois and was founded by pastor Bill Hybels. Willow Creek has one of the most widely recognized church logos. It uses two colors, black and three shades of the same blue color and a wavy letter “W” in a square. Their church logo is very simple and legible. It connects with their organization and the wavy W is memorable.
Fairfax Community Church Logo Design
 Fairfax Community Church in Fairfax, VA is led by senior pastor Rod Stafford. Fairfax Community’s church logo design displays a circle with a cross that has a letter “F” flare to it. The church logo design in conjunction with the church names is two colors and reproduces well at all sizes. The church uses it on everything they can to brand their identity and logo.
North Point Community Church Logo Design
 North Point Church in Alpharetta, Georgia is led by senior pastor Andy Stanley. North Point uses an umbrella logo for its ministries, North Point Ministries. Their church logo design is very clean and corporate looking, with the letter “N” in a square. It’s mostly white with grey and black background colors.
Change Point Church Logo Design
 Change Point Church in Anchorage, Alaska is led by teaching pastor Karl Clauson. Change Point has a very simple logo design that uses its name along with a circle with three slashes missing from it. It uses regular text and bold and italicized text in the design with a line between the words Change Point.
McLean Bible Church Logo Design
 McLean Bible Church located just outside of Washington D.C. was founded by pastor Lon Solomon and has grown to an average weekend attendance of over 10,000. McLean Bible uses it’s initials MBC for it’s logo design. The letters are very tightly spaced and usually seen in white or the dark green color. McLean Bible usually prints is name along with it’s initials as shown here.
Church Logo Design Summary
Interestingly enough, out of these six church logo designs, only one has a Christian symbol in the logo (a cross). Two use circles, two use squares, and two use other shapes. The typography color of these church logo designs are white or black and they all have two different font sizes. Three of the logos are blue and they can all be printed effectively in one or two colors.
